My favorite spot in Santa Fé for breakfast and comfort food. Try the Greek omelette and the gluten free bagels!!! Outstanding service, their friendly and attentive staff made me feel comfortable and welcome every time I went. Also, they make a more than decent regular coffee and are very generous on the refills! New York Deli, I wanna take you home with me!!!

On a list of places to have breakfast in our nearby hotel. We found attractive decor, excellent service and a first class breakfast. I think we will go back tomorrow. Try it, you will like it.

Bagels that remind me of the ones I had growing up near NYC. Yummy pumpernickel with honey walnut cream cheese.

Authentic bagels and full breakfast menu, organic bold coffee at very fair prices.

A sad Santa Fe version of a NYC deli.

This is a second branch of the New York Deli on Cerrillos Rd, but this one is near downtown Santa Fe, it appears to have replaced Bagelmania. I've never been to the Cerrillos Rd location, but have been here a few times. The place is large, the staff mostly friendly, and the bagels and bagel sandwiches are fairly solid, although some seem to be better than others. I like the green chili bagels which are shinny, chewy, and have a nice crust which isn't crisp but which also does not seem like super market bread which so many bagels do. Prices are very expensive for bagels and they give no discount for bulk (12 bagels will cost you $13!), so I tend not to buy them to go. The sesame bagels don't seem to have the same nice chewy texture.

The Southwest Benedict is excellent. The grilled tomatoes are perfect which surprised me and almost stopped me from ordering it. But they work flawlessly with the dish. The chorizo and green chili Hollandaise make this one if my favorite riffs on Eggs Benedict yet! Excellent coffee! Good service. Definitely on my list.

Best place in town for sandwiches. Holds that east coast menu style that I have not found anywhere else. I would call it diner food and that is what you should expect.

All I know is if I got in my car and drove to the nearest McDonald's they would acknowledge my presence when I walked in. I stood there for 10 minutes right next to the wait to be seated sign until I finally flagged down a waitress who got me served immediately. Still really frustrating to have waiters walk by multiple times and then immediately acknowledge and serve the people that come in after you. I won't be back. The waitress that finally served me was great though. Then when I asked for my check the guy that brought it to me muttered something about bad news. I was just trying to eat an overpriced turkey sandwich. Worst service I've ever gotten anywhere.

I have nothing nice to say about NY Deli. I've been there many times over the years...was not much better when it was the Bagelmania. Same idea, same meh food, same lousy experience. Someone took a bite of my food one time, 1 bite! When we got the check, the waitress had charged us a split plate fee...over 1 bite. Sharing is not caring. Had we have asked for an extra plate, had he have taken more than 1 bite..actually if he'd have taken 2 bites of my food I might be as bitter...but talk about stingy.

This one of the few places open on New Year's Day and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The staff was very nice and our table was visited numerous times throughout our breakfast. We each had omlettes and they were huge - the hashbrowns were delicious. Make sure to try the sun-dried tomato bagel with the matching cream cheese - very good ! They also have green chili bagels - definitely will be trying that next time.

Rude and Crude!!! How difficult is a bagel egg sandwich? Here - very difficult. Ask for well toasted, oh yes, use lots of grease and grill it. 5 out of ten times they can't even toast a bagel to order. How dare a customer complain. Get a cook to talk to you, no way. We just shovel this crap out and expect people to eat it. I'm done with this place.

Someone else wrote about how greasy their meal was and I had the same experience. I even said I did not want it with butter or grease. I used two napkins to dry it off! The waiter tried to tell me it was water, but my napkins were yellow. The bagel and coffee were good and the waiter gave me my meal for half price so in the end it was ok, but next time I'll just order a bagel with coffee.

I walked in with a smile and was greeted as if the employee was annoyed to be helping me. She was not polite at all through the process. I ordered to go and the order was wrong to top it all off. I will definately not be going back.

We came here based on a friends recommendation. It seemed expensive and lacking much taste for the price. Chicken matzo ball soup tasted the best. The Grand Central sandwich was ok. But this time of year to have hothouse, unripe, tomatoes is inexcusable. The potato salad was not to my taste at all. Since Bert's Burger Bowl was closed we took a chance. We may try again but I am not impressed overall.

So, its not Bagelmania, but is it really that much different? Doesn't really feel that different to me, which is fine by me, because the first time I went there, I thought I was going to Bagelmania. So, its not cheap, or even reasonable for that matter, but few things are in Santa Fe. That said, what I have had from there has been pretty decent, and is still some place I would head toward when craving a bagel in the Santa Fe Plaza region.

We were in Santa Fe last year and had breakfast here several times and loved it. This is still a favorite. Tip: If your breakfast order comes with hash brown potatoes remind them that you like them crispy or they will be a little dull.

I can't vouch for full breakfasts or other items, but their blueberry and everything bagels are truly awesome, and the green chili cream cheese was perfect. Coming from a total goy with less than 5 NYC trips under my belt and zero Jewish ties to some "oh my g-d, the best bagels are at ____!" this probably means nothing. The coffee, however, I can speak to. I got the turbo and it was delicious. Just the right amount of caffeine to put my homicidal tendencies towards yappy chihuahuas and snippy Pomeranians at bay.

I've been waiting to write this review. I've eaten here three times, and each time have almost been satisfied, then let down terribly. Each time I ordered a different item, even from a totally different place on the menu, with the same sad result. Short story? This is no New York Deli. As if the low-quality of food wasn't enough, I have never been in-and-out of this establishment in less then 20 minutes--and that includes a to go order. If you're craving breakfast in downtown Santa Fe that is neither french nor adorned in green chili, this is an option. however, prepare for disappointment.

I get much better service and food at the Cerrillos road location. The sandwiches are good but also very pricey.

We've been going to the former Bagelmania for years and usually had good experiences. It seems to cater more to locals, which is just fine to us. The new management changed Bagelmania a little bit, but many holdovers remained on the menu. As a deli, it has a wide variety of choices, with some Santa Fe touches, such as green chili on some dishes. On a recent visit to the "new" New York Deli for breakfast, we were less than impressed. As soon as we sat down, a waiter brought us a cup of coffee and a cold Coke. That would have been great if we, you know, actually ORDERED this. It was for another table and when we said "this isn't our order", the waiter looked at us like we were crazy. "We haven't even ordered yet", we said. All the waiter could say was, "do you want this or not". We ordered Huevos Rancheros and a Plain Egg White Omelette. Both entrees were huge portions, more than anyone should eat for one meal. Many restaurants and delis are guilty of portion distortion, but we didn't recall this being a problem at Bagelmania. The huevos rancheros were really poorly done. Everything was sort of in one big pile. There were too many hash browns, and the cheese tasted processed, definitely not fresh. The cheese also covered almost everything. Not the way huevos rancheros are prepared. I ordered this with the green chile, but the waiter insisted on giving me Christmas chile (red and green) instead. After this visit, we will most likely seek out other local breakfast choices. The New York Deli is not a good substitute for the former Bagelmania.

I have no idea why this place has any negative ratings. I can say I did not buy any bagels they looked amazing though. I ordered the blackstone benedict, and my husband frech toast. It was amazing, everybody was so nice. I will definitely be back next time I visit Santa Fe.

So long Bagelmania, you were too overpriced anyways. So The New York Deli has replaced you? Well I'm not a big fan of their cerrillos road location, so we'll see how you are in the bigger location downtown... Hmmm, $12 for a medioce reuben? So you decided to keep Bagelmania's prices, I see. My side salad was HUGE tho, so that is going to bump you up a star. Oh,no free WiFi? Well there goes that star bumpage. The service was fast for me, but I was only there 10 minutes, and meanwhile another patron had to wait almost 20 minutes for his plain bagel with cream cheese to go... So your service is a little disorganized. GET. FREE. WIFI.

I was so pleased with the healthy food choices NY Deli had to offer me! I chose a healthy (and delicious) salad... and then I must admit that I had bagel chips too. Those might become an addiction. Great food, great service. I'm going back!
